A motorist has died after a three-vehicle crash. The crash happened just after 4pm on Barnsley Road, Moorthorpe in South Elmsall and involved, a Fiat Panda, a Renault Clio and Ford Escort van. FIREFIGHTERS were called to a three-car smash on a busy West Yorkshire road. Crews from Knottingley, Garforth, Castleford and Pontefract were called to a stretch of the A1 close to Junction 40, Southbound near Castleford at around 5.30am today.
