POLICE officers spent four hours coaxing a man out of the River Aire after it is believed he threw himself in off a bridge.
The man, thought to be aged in his late 30s, had refused to leave the water, which he had entered off Redcote Lane behind the Netto store on Kirkstall Road in Leeds shortly after 10.30am on Saturday.
